It is reported that the MTK 9653 chip will become the successor of 9652, supplying mid to high end smart TV terminals. As early as 2021, 9652 passed the hardware security level client operating environment evaluation of ChinaDRM Lab and was hailed as the "2020 professional super chip".
In order to further enhance the applicability of the chip, MTK has collaborated with ChinaDRM Digital Rights Protection Trust Authority (DTA) to pre integrate ChinaDRM2.0 capabilities on the 9653 chip based on DTA's ChinaDRM2.0 client development kit (OEM Porting Kit, OPK). Compared with MTK's previous solutions, OPK has significant advantages in portability, standard compliance, and functions. Chip integrated OPK has low difficulty, less workload, and is easy to pass the evaluation. At the same time, it can meet the DRM function requirements in the Internet video application scenario, and support the DRM device certificate air port download function also greatly reduces the complexity of terminal placement of DRM certificates. MTK completes OPK pre integration at the chip level, greatly reducing the workload for terminal manufacturers to integrate OPK and significantly shortening the cost investment for equipment research and production. With the support of DTA's ChinaDRM ecosystem service, the ability to download DRM device certificate interfaces is pre installed in the chip, which will revolutionize the traditional certificate production line burning mode and open up space for industry scale improvement.
