The "SJ/T 12088-2025 General Purpose Multimedia Interface Specification - Digital Content Protection" standard (referred to as ADCP Digital Content Protection Standard, or ADCP Standard) is a core component of China-led General Purpose Multimedia Interface (GPMI) series of industry standard, which establishes an technology for ultra high speed transmission content protection. Together with SJ/T 12087.1-2025 (Architecture), SJ/T 12087.2-2025 (Protocol), etc., it forms an China-led multimedia interface technology system, which was released in December 2025. The mainstream ChinaDRM solutions in China already support ADCP, such as the DRM client adaptation development kit (OEM Porting Kit, OPK) provided by DTA, DRM client integration testing environment, and DRM solutions from leading technology service providers.
For a long time, China's high-definition multimedia interface technology use standards such as HDMI, DisplayPort, HDCP, etc. SJ/T 12088-2025, as the core standard for digital content protection in the GPMI system, adopts the national security SM2/SM3/SM4 algorithm, filling the gap in domestic independent standards in this field and building a full chain independent technology system from interface architecture to content protection. The ADCP standard collaborates with other standards in the GPMI series to form a complete technical closed loop. At present, it has obtained USB-IF SVID authorization, providing technical support for domestic enterprises to participate in international competition. Haier, Huawei, Skyworth, Changhong and other companies have launched products equipped with GPMI interfaces, forming an independent ecosystem from standard setting to product implementation.
As the core trust anchor of the industry, the ADCP PKI root key carries the responsibility of ensuring data priority, maintaining transmission security, and supporting the digital ecosystem. On June 19, 2025, the "GPMI Industry Ecology Promotion Conference, and Seminar on Complex Governance Standards for Television Operations" jointly hosted by China Electronics Standardization Institute(CESI) and other units officially released the ADCP PKI root key. CESI, China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, Hisense, TCL, and more than 100 experts and scholars from enterprises and institutions in various fields of the audio-visual electronics industry chain, such as Haier, Skyworth, Konka, Huawei Device, Goke Microelectronics, Hisilicon, and MediaTek, attended the conference. At the conference, the SUCA Alliance (Shenzhen 8K Ultra HD Video Industry Cooperation Alliance) awarded the ecology promotion service agency, and Huanyu Trust (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. was awarded the ADCP Trust Authority Center.
