Generally, DRM service certification can be carried out after the deployment of the DRM system. During the planning and design phase, DRM service certification also can be carried out to get the standardized guidance from the certification body.

DRM server certificates have an expiration date. At least three months before the expiration date, the video and audio service provider should submit a certificate renewal application to DTA. After obtaining a new server certificate issued by DTA, the old certificate can be replaced.

Precautions for DRM client updates？

The DRM client devices should be able to update the DRM client through an upgrade process. After the client is updated, it should still be able to use the client certificate that was burned or downloaded before the update. If the DRM client version is upgraded, even if the user forces the client device to revert to its factory settings, the DRM client should remain at the upgraded version.
